Two critical parts of the design makes this heating system specifically suitable for heating a lumber kiln and larger warehouses. First we rely on loading the firewood/biomass fairly often with smaller volumes. This keeps smoke and emissions down plus it insures a constant high firebox temperature. Secondly, we use an air-to-air heat exchanger, which is not limited in heating temperature like hot water or steam systems. This means we can actually heat our kiln to over 270F. Lastly, the air-to-air heat exchanger will also reduce the installation costs and future maintenance as there are hot water/steam heaters, piping, valves, and chemical treatment of water/steam.
