Kiln-direct introduced Quick Firewood Kilns in 2009, which is the first one to be designed specifically for drying and heat treating firewood. First we launched the MiniQuick with 6 cord capacity, then the larger SmallQuick for 12 cord capacity and finally a version of the MiniQuick for Export container shipping

We were also fortunate to be able to showcase this kiln at the Sawlex 2009 Expo in Morgantown WV with an actual firewood drying process. (Detail of the actual demo run here).

Our original design goals were:	Final specs for MiniQuick firewood kiln:
Meet USDA Heat treating specifications (160F inside the firewood for 75 minutes) Two-day cycle time. Gas or wood waste heating. About 4-6 cord capacity. Shipped ready to use. Lower price than container based models.	Meets USDA Heat treating specifications (170F inside the firewood for 75 minutes) It can do it in 8-12 hours. 24-48 hour cycle time in nearly all cases. Gas or wood waste heating. Equally quick in heat treating. 6 cord capacity. Shipped ready to use. Starting at less than $28000.
THEN WE LISTENED TO OUR CUSTOMERS AND ->	Then the SmallQuick firewood kiln was developed to meet the request of customers that thought 6 cords per load was too little.
FINALLY WE LISTENED TO OUR OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS ->	Finally we decided to develop an export version of the MiniQuick Firewood kiln, which could be shipped in 6 main section in a standard High Cube shipping container.

Loading system fully automated with pneumatic controls. Separate loading compartment with dual doors insure maximum safety.		Firebox drawing and grate with two fans for primary air on bottom and also showing Manual loading door with one fan for secondary air supply.
