Kiln controls

Kiln-direct have come a long way in understand how to best help customers install kilns. First, we have learned that it is a lot easier said than done when it comes to building kiln chambers, installing the equipment, and wiring the controls.

In the beginning we thought that we could sell the kiln controls, you would install these, and then complete the software training by phone and internet. Today, we consider this theoretical possible, but practically speaking not based on our experience during the last decade. So today we will rarely sell a kiln controller alone. In addition, we have discovered the value (for the customer) of building the complete high voltage and PLC controller into one cabinet. This makes is much easier for you to mount and wire, since you only have an incoming main power connection, outgoing connections for each peace kiln equipment, and a few connections to sensors. In addition, we would normally include an on-site visit once the control system has been mounted and wired to complete the installation with loading software on the computer and complete the networking of the controller(s) to the kiln operator computer.
