We often get asked what is the true cost of drying firewood and have given some very generic answers of $0-$15 per cord with wood waste and $30-$4 with gas. These number did not include the cost of owning the kiln and other expenses.

In our opinion the wood waste heating system is the only way to go and therefore we have made an estimated cost calculation below.

These numbers are estimated and based on wood waste heating kilns. The cost of the kiln for leasing or depreciation purposes include baskets and an estimated delivery cost. As this is a new product we do not have long term maintenance cost for the kiln and controls, so these have not been included in the numbers above.
