Our firewood baskets are not CHEAP. They are very well made, heavy duty, and will last a long, long time. When you put more steel into the product it will have to cost more. You can also build your own baskets, fabrication manuals are available on the "link" below in the right column.

General construction: Corner posts: 3" square tubing, 1/8" thick. Top and bottom structure: 3" angle, 3/16" thick. Fork lift channels: 3"x8"x3" C-channel from 1/8" thick sheet. Wire mesh on sides/door: 1/4" rod and 2"x4" openings. Wire mesh on floor: 1/4" rod and 2"x2" openings.
