Drying Gradient Schedules tool

Kiln theory
Below you will find an interactive section to help you develop drying schedules based on the drying gradient. As temperature ranges we have included all the usual Tx schedules from the Traditional US drying schedules and a number of modified dry bulb temperature schedules we have seen used successfully over the many years we have been building kilns.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR ANY KILN OPERATOR TO UNDERSTAND THAT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF DRYING LUMBER AND CONTINUALLY EVALUATING THE DRYING PROCESS IS HIS ALONE. IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM CAN KILN-DIRECT BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED BY USING THIS HELPFUL TOOL BELOW (sorry we have to cover the legal stuff).
Guidelines for understanding the fields used for generating the schedule
Temperature (dry bulb):
This is the temperature set point for the chamber at the various MC%.
Drying gradient:
This is basically the drying pressure. Different species and thicknesses require different gradients.
Start at:
This is the level at which the drying gradient starts, which means if the wood MC% is higher it still considers this the starting point for the schedule.
