Backwall Pallet Kiln System Home Products Pallet kilns

Backwall unit for building your own Pallet Kiln.

Building your own pallet kiln is sometimes the most economical solution which can save you between 10-20% if a complete/turn-key solution is not a viable option for you. However, it should be mentioned that we have also seen several cases where the customer ends up spending more than if he/she were to buy a complete/turn-key kiln. This is especially true if you take a look at our economy or junior pallet kiln models.

The benefits of building your own pallet kiln have greatly diminished as Kiln-direct has become increasingly efficient in building pallet heat treatment kilns. In addition, we have expanded our line of complete kilns to include 5 versions. These 5 versions start with a loading capacity of 300 pallets (1/2 truck load) to 800 pallets (1 1/3 truck load).

Should you still be interested in building your own kiln we have found that the back wall design is the best solution. It has the following benefits:

  • Back wall comes with all components (except main fan header) pre-installed and pre-wired.
  • Main fan header comes custom built for your kiln chamber's width with fans and motors installed.
  • It includes a one day on-site installation assistant and training.
  • Few mistakes are possible when compared to installing individual components.
  • Your construction crew does not need to understand technical kiln theory/design to build and construct a chamber. Plus we come and inspect work.
